Borja and Fernando, together with Vanessa, devise a plan to deceive Luciana and recover a document that threatens to cost Borja everything he has. Their scheme leads them to Janga Beach in Paulista, Pernambuco, where they unexpectedly encounter a curse haunting the area. As the mystery unfolds, the film connects its supernatural horror with deeper concerns surrounding environmental neglect and the decline of traditional artisanal fishing. The Curse of Drowned uses folklore and suspense as a metaphor for the consequences of disregarding both nature and the communities that depend on it.
